Chatham Town Centre (Part 2)

A couple of weeks on and Medway Council (I assume) have put in place a restriction at the point where the two car parks meet, so in basic terms there's now a speed restriction in place however once you pass this you can drive as fast as you like through the actual car parks which sort of defeats the object really. I think the only way to stop the 'rat run' is to put a barrier across where the two car parks meet and paint a yellow box on the floor "Emergency Access Only Do Not Obstruct" give a key to the emergency services, this will stop all traffic cutting through whichever way they're coming from. Today I went through from the other way (Medway street entrance) the entrance through the restriction was awkward (I wonder how many will hit the bollards / restrictions?) I can't help feeling that possibly the 'Boy Racers' in our community may see this as a challenge ie lets see how fast I can negotiate this restriction so I fear it may achieve very little.......... We will see....
