Nürburgring - A BRIEF HISTORY
The original Nürburgring 27 miles was completed in 1927 and immediately became famous (some would say infamous) worldwide. Over time, several changes were made to the circuit, but it was always difficult and very long. However, in recent decades, a growing security problem for pilots and drivers. The lack of runoff areas and rough, irregular edges were only two problems that have arisen. Jackie Stewart is knownto call the song "Green Hell", a reference to the picturesque setting and the dangerous and demanding nature. growing concerns finally reached their peak after a terrible accident of Niki Lauda in 1976, when he was badly burned during a Formula 1 race. This led to the end of the Formula 1 races on the old circuit, but the Grand Prix has been held until 1980 when it was later withdrawn for safety reasons. The changes should be made.
A completely new3.2-mile track was built and opened in 1984. This new track marked the return of Grand Prix racing at the Nurburgring.
The 13 mile long Nürburgring Nordschleife (Northern Loop) was formed when the old track has been divided. The Nordschleife sometimes hosts Motorsport competitive race like the coach, but at major events are now reserved for the new circuit. RIDING THE CIRCUIT SAFETY
The Nurburgring Nordschleife is a very challenging circuit of 13 miles. Officially, the track has 73 corners. Some of these curves are "blind" and some have irregular or uneven surface. Enjoy the experience Nurburgring, but make sure you and your bike to escape in one piece.
My advice for beginners is to think of the circuit as a fast lap on the road and not on a track!
The Nordschleife is classified as a one-waytoll highway without speed limit (except on the approach and exit). service vehicles must be 100% road legal and normal German legislation on road traffic. Take your vehicle documents, driving license and passport. Probably will not be asked to produce these documents, but it is a legal requirement to wear them while driving in Germany, even on normal openbare weg.
You must wear protective clothing (not necessarily learning). Suitable boots, gloves and gownsSuitable for motorcycle use will be fine (no jeans, t-shirts or trainers). Wear a helmet with visor or helmet with glasses.
Your engine should be road worthy and its mirrors on both sides. Also make sure your tires are in good condition and many of the band left (if you're a hard driver, and do some laps of 13 miles, you can end up with rubber no return). slick tires are prohibited.
Officially, there is a noise level of 95decibels for all vehicles. This can be measured by officials who track or spot checks. Despite this rule, many people ride or drive from the circuit with a very strong exhaust systems. In my experience it is very unlikely that you access this be refused.
Taking photos or videos while driving the Nürburgring Nordschleife is prohibited. Photos and videos can be taken from different vantage points outside the boundaries of work.
Keep the Nürburgring-NordschleifeEmergency phone number on your phone before starting the tour: 0049 8000 302 112
If you have a yellow flag is waved from the danger of ground transportation officials' do not overtake. Approach and care along the danger zone and at a speed appropriate to the situation (maximum 50 mph / 31 kmh). If you have a yellow flag with red stripes waved by officials of the land, this means " oil or other fluids on the job, no overtaking. Slow down and proceed tocaution (max. 50 mph / 31 kmh).
Never a safety car to reach the roof-mounted flashing yellow. Follow at a safe distance until the lights go down and the safety car left the track.
Overtaking on the right is forbidden. Take left (the first show to let others know your intentions). Always know that you are much slower moving vehicles (everything from mobile homes to meet the tourist track use buses).
Check your mirrorsfor fast moving vehicles approaching from behind, when faster Than You, right to move and leave the past (keep in mind that normal people Some 'fingers, "there probably always be someone faster than you).
Not crazy about your first few laps. It can take many laps for a good driver to learn the circuit, do not think you're a cyclist badly because the others pass. Ride at your own pace.
Resist the temptation to explore the limits of your machine. When driving with a passengerpassengers an extra margin of safety. Do not put pressure on yourself, trying to impress your friends, or when your shot.
In case of failure to stop your bike in a safe place on the road near the runway. Go behind the barriers and call the emergency number for help. There is a fee for removing the vehicle from the track.
In case of accident at all, and any witnesses to stop to help. CallNurburgring Nordschleife-phone for emergencies. If you found a bug in an accident, prosecutions and fines could follow. You may also be liable for any costs for repairs and closures track track.
